Aaron is a gifted preacher and teacher, and we are grateful for his four years of service on staff at CH as Relational Discipleship Minister. This new season is a blessing for him, his family, and the students he teaches. ![]() As you will see in his letter below, he will begin teaching full-time at Ozark Christian College this fall. The season of being on staff at College Heights has changed for Aaron Wheeler. Seasons change, but the call to minister and share the Good News of Jesus does not change for any of us, whether or not we are on the staff that serves and equips our church family. I Peter 2:5 says that God's followers are "like living stones, being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." While all of us as believers are part of this holy "priesthood", there are times when God asks some of His followers to step into a specific role on a church staff. In lieu of familial care giving, these responsibilities may be given to paid caretakers, orphanages or foster homes to provide care, housing, and schooling. What an honor it is to be part of the family of God! It is a joy to see how the Lord equips all of us to be ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Another form of childcare that is on the rise in contrast to familial caregiving is that of center-based child care. This care giving role may also be taken on by the child's extended family. This is due to their mental development being in a particular case of not being able to progress as it should be at their age. Care facilitated by similar-aged children covers a variety of developmental and psychological effects in both caregivers and charge. This informal care includes verbal direction and other explicit training regarding the child's behavior, and is often as simple as "keeping an eye out" for younger siblings. In some cases, it is also seen that children care for other children. In most cases children are taken care of by their parents, legal guardians, or siblings. The main focus of childcare is on the development of the child, whether that be mental, social, or psychological. Quality care from a young age can have a substantial impact on the future successes of children. Child care providers can be children's first teachers, and therefore play an integral role in systems of early childhood education. Early child care is an equally important and often overlooked component of child development. Child care is a broad topic that covers a wide spectrum of professionals, institutions, contexts, activities, and social and cultural conventions. Child care is the action or skill of looking after children by a day-care center, nannies, babysitter, teachers or other providers. ![]() Child Care: Child care, otherwise known as day care, is the care and supervision of a child or multiple children at a time, whose ages range from six weeks to thirteen years.Early Childhood Education: Early childhood education, also known as nursery education, is a branch of education theory that relates to the teaching of children from birth up to the age of eight.CPR: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) combines rescue breathing (mouth-to-mouth) and chest compressions to temporarily pump enough blood to the brain until specialized treatment is available.child development: Child development refers to the sequence of physical, language, thought and emotional changes that occur in a child from birth to the beginning of adulthood.Professional development: Professional development refers to continuing education and career training after a person has entered the workforce in order to help them develop new skills, stay up-to-date on current trends, and advance their career. What Skills Does a person Need at College Heights Christian School?Īt College Heights Christian School, specify the abilities and skills that a person needs in order to carry out the specified job duties.Įach competency has five to ten behavioral assertions that can be observed,Įach with a corresponding performance level (from one to five) that is required for a particular job. ![]()
